ZadVest
Instrument, don't advise. Your money never leaves your broker.
A self-directed trading workspace. Connect your own brokerage account, research a company, scan for chart patterns, build a rule without writing code and test it against history. An automated Shariah screen shows its working. Every decision is the account holder's, and every order is placed at their own broker under their own credentials.
No advice
ZadVest is not a broker, not an adviser and not a manager. It shows you what happened and lets you describe what you want to look for. What to do about it is yours.
No custody
Funds and positions stay at your brokerage. ZadVest holds no cash, settles nothing and cannot move money between accounts — there is no path in the product for it to do so.
No performance claims
No accuracy figure, no win rate, no back-tested return presented as an expectation. A tested rule is labelled as history, which is what it is, and never as an edge.
The check that enforces it
The legal disclosure lives in one file pinned by a test, so an edit cannot quietly drop the broker attribution or the non-advisory statement. Nowhere in the product does a screen render a performance figure: the only ranking a strategy receives is a robustness scorecard, and reliability is labelled history rather than edge. The constraint is not a review habit — a release that loses the disclosure fails.
What you can do with it
Research. Look a company up and read what is known about it: the fundamentals, the recent filings, where it sits in its sector. Scan. Ask for the classical chart patterns across a watchlist and get back what is forming and what has confirmed, with the geometry drawn rather than asserted. Build a rule. Describe an entry and an exit in plain controls — an indicator crossing, a level holding, a pattern completing — without writing any code. Test it. Run that rule over historical data and read what it would have done, including the part where it did nothing for months.
Shariah screening, with its working shown
Holdings are screened automatically, on AAOIFI-style criteria: the business activity, the balance-sheet ratios, and the share of income that comes from prohibited sources. Where the evidence supports a conclusion the verdict says so. Where it does not — where a filing folds interest into a combined line that cannot be separated, for instance — it says that instead, rather than resolving the ambiguity in the permissive direction and calling the result compliant.
That distinction is the point of the screen. A compliant verdict a user cannot check is worth less than an honest "could not be concluded", and the product is built to be able to say the second one. It is a screen, not a ruling: it is not a fatwa, it is not certified by a Shariah board, and a pass is not a recommendation to buy.
